TRANSPORTATION TO THE SITE
COSITÕ05 will be held at The Inn at
Holiday Valley, near Ellicottville, New York, which is located at 42¡ 16' 02"N, 78¡ 40' 00"W,
about one hour's drive south of Buffalo, NY. There is no regularly scheduled bus or train service.
Therefore, out of town participants arriving by air at Buffalo International
Airport (BUF) will need to arrange for shuttle transportation, or rent cars, or
get rides with locals or car-renters.
UPDATE! A+Livery (see
below) has received about 20 reservations for transportation from Buffalo
airport to Ellicottville so far (Sept 7 2005), and they say by grouping people,
the cost is averaging $50-$60 round trip.

Reitsma has set up a ÔwikiÕ to facilitate ride-sharing arrangements to Ellicottville.
Several Buffalo post-graduate students plan to commute daily between greater
Buffalo and the site and they might be able to provide rides for some
participants.
Car Rentals. The major auto rental companies have
cars available at Buffalo airport. You can reserve cars and check prices
through their web sites. If you can coordinate with two or three passengers,
this might be the cheapest option even if the car just sits at Holiday Valley
during the conference, although car rentals in Buffalo seem rather expensive.
Shuttle transportation. Shuttle transportation will be
available from Buffalo airport to the site by advance booking.

should make reservations as soon as possible so that A+livery can arrange group
pick-ups to save on the cost!!
Rates:
They can shuttle
both large and small groups as well as individuals.
Shuttle: (20 per vehicle) $200.00
one way or $10.00/person based on
20 passengers.
Van: (6 per vehicle) $150.00
one way or $25.00/person based
on 6 passengers.
Taxi: (4 per vehicle) $95.00
one way or $24.00/person based on 4 passengers.
