ESRI Student Awards

Available to Graduate Students Presenting at COSIT '01

Graduate student presenters at COSIT '01 may apply to receive an ESRI Student Award.  These Awards will provide $500 to offset costs associated with attending COSIT.  All students who are presenting at COSIT may apply.  That includes presenters who have a paper accepted for publication in the Proceedings, as well as presenters at the Doctoral Colloquium on September 23.

Send an application to cosit01@geog.ucsb.edu by August 31, 2001.  The application should include your name, institutional and departmental affiliation, the name of your presentation at COSIT, your status as a student (i.e. at what point are you in your graduate career), a short description of your research work, and an explanation of why you need the Student Award funding to attend COSIT.  Awards will be given on a competitive basis; both quality and need will be considered in choosing Award winners.

The Organizers gratefully acknowledge ESRI -- The Environmental Systems Research Institute -- whose generous contribution has made these Awards possible.  Headquartered in Redlands, California, ESRI is the world's leading provider of GIS products and services.
